Nikita Newley is a self-taught, second generation artist and proud First Nations woman from all parts of Queensland.
Currently living on Gubbi Gubbi Country, Nikita was born on Gurang Gurang Country, with heritage connected to Wuthati tribe and Darumbal people. She found her passion creating art through her emotions and cultural connection.
New Dreaming Art is about connecting old with new in a respectful way. Bringing new stories to life and sharing acknowledgment to the First Nations people. Commissions that tell your story are also available.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
New Dreaming Art provides a safe learning opportunity for all ages to explore connection to Country, culture and community through First Nations Art. These workshops and events are curated specifically for each group with the intention of nurturing respectful engagement with Culture & Art.

CREATIVE CULTURAL CIRCLES
Mobile & Home-Based Classes
Explore basic knowledge and expression of First Nation’s art, history, storytelling and nature activities. Interactive and outdoors experience that allows you/your child to explore the wonders of the using art to help release any emotions or feelings. We use the deep listening (Dadirri) method to stay connected to culture and yourself.

ART & DESIGN CLASSES
Workshops & Classes
Bringing a safe experience for folks to gather together and explore their emotions, thoughts, feelings and also connect within themselves and their understanding of First Nations cultural business and how we can come together to show support. Using the art process to create a sense of self love empowerment.
